Welcome to our second Ethiopian Pop-Up featuring a
Traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony and a
Buffet of Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine.

Chef Judi and Chef Helen are once again bringing you authentic Ethiopian and Eritrean traditions and delicacies.  Jambo Bobcat Bite is pleased to host our two Guest Chefs to bring traditional bites from Africa. 

The Coffee Ceremony includes preparers wearing traditional dress who will roast, grind, and prepare coffee at your table.

The Buffet will include vegan pleasures such as Okra Wot, Dinich Wot (potatoes), Gomen (collards or kale), Misir Wat (red lentils), and Shiro (chickpeas) and omnivore delights such as Doro Wat (chicken), Sega Wat (beef) and Beg Alicha (lamb).  Please note that the menu is provisional based on availablity of ingredients; the menu will include reasonable substitutions as needed. 

The Coffee Ceremony and Buffet Ethiopian & Eritrean Pop-Up is scheduled for four Thursdays with two sittings each evening at 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. The 7:30 pm sitting is no longer available. Each sitting is limited to 50 people.

Chef Judi

Raised in Asmara and trained across the culinary corridors of Milan, Chef Judi spent years running three celebrated Italian restaurants in the city — earning devoted followings for cooking that was precise, seasonal, and deeply felt. She carries that discipline to Santa Fe, where for the first time she brings her Eritrean roots fully to the table alongside the Italian craft she has spent a lifetime mastering.

Chef Helen

Comes from a family known for their Ethiopian Eritrean cooking. Chef Helen first found her voice as a chef in Amsterdam, then returned to the family fold in Houston — where her family’s Ethiopian restaurant had long been an institution built on generosity, ritual, and unmistakable flavor. She brings both chapters with her to Santa Fe.
