Jambo! Welcome to Jambo Bobcat Bite, the latest venture by Chef Ahmed Obo, owner of Jambo Café. Known for his African and Caribbean dishes featuring fragrant spices and tangy tastes with a touch of fruit; Jambo Bobcat Bite is a unique opportunity for Chef to explore a different flavor profile.

Jambo Bobcat Bite’s menu features New Mexican and American style dishes such as green chile cheeseburgers, fish & chips, shrimp tacos, and fresh salads with an African twist. Come for a Chef-cooked lunch and a wide away of beverages to quench your thirst. Sit on the patio or inside in the brand new dining room. 

Chef Ahmed is from Lamu, off the coast of Kenya where he learned to cook at his mother’s knee. As the eldest of 10 children Chef Ahmed watched his mother, Halima, feed a large family on limited means, while coaxing extraordinary flavor from ordinary ingredients. Chef has been cooking professionally for over 20 years, beginning his journey in Santa Fe at the legendary Zia Diner, before opening Jambo Café in 2009.
